China Railway Construction Corporation (China Railway Construction Corporation) in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates Airlines Airport Maintenance Hangar Construction Project officially launched on the 18th. Located in the heart of Dubai World, the project has a total floor area of 1.21 million square meters and a total investment of more than $5 billion. It is scheduled for completion in 2030. After the completion of the project will become the world’s largest, highest level of technology, system integration is the most complex, the most difficult construction of the civil aviation hangar cluster.
The project includes 8 large-scale maintenance hangars, 2 professional painting hangars and related supporting facilities, after the completion of wide-body aircraft for 28 at the same time to provide airframe maintenance, engine maintenance, aircraft painting and other whole process services.
On the 18th, the Gulf News of the UAE quoted Sheikh Ahmed bin Said Al Maktoum, chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Emirates Airline and group, as saying, the launch of this world-class aeronautical engineering project marks an important step forward for Dubai in the future development of its aviation industry. The project will effectively integrate infrastructure, parts manufacturing and other specialized capabilities, to inject new impetus to the UAE’s economic growth. Khalifa Zaffan, executive chairman of Dubai Air City and Dubai South Free Trade Zone, said that this project will further help Dubai meet the growing demand for advanced air services and maintenance solutions, and will play a key role.
