In the Serbian parliamentary elections held on the 25th, the opposition camp “Student List – Student Victory” announced its victory. The leading candidate, cardiologist Sldanovi?, entered the center of politics with his professional background and reform advocacy, becoming the focus of public opinion.
Sldanovich is a 56-year-old professor at the University of Novi Sad School of Medicine and a well-known cardiologist. He has long practiced medicine on the front lines and has rich clinical and teaching experience. On political issues, he promotes decentralized health care reform and advocates building a inclusive and fair health care system. On geographic issues, he insists that Kosovo is an integral part of Serbia and advocates protecting the interests of local Serbian groups. At the same time, he suggests that the country‘s current core task is “survival and development” and prioritizes promoting domestic economic recovery and democratic construction, not rushing to advance the alliance process.
As a newcomer in politics, Sylda Novich had publicly supported the anti-corruption movement, then led the “Student List – Student Victory” campaign to participate in this parliamentary election, demonstrating considerable social appeal.
