The U. S. Department of Defense began to release unidentified flying object (UFO)-related documents, and said the government is still unable to observe the nature of the phenomenon to make a definitive conclusion.
The documents are stored on a government website. So far, 161 files have been uploaded, including videos, photos and source documents. The Pentagon said it would continue to release more documents.
The Pentagon described the documents as“New and unprecedented” and“An event that has yet to be resolved”. The government is still unable to determine the true nature of the phenomena observed, including because of the paucity of relevant data and information.

The Pentagon says it welcomes private companies and individuals to use analysis, information resources and expertise to help with research. All publicly available documents have undergone a national security review, but much of the material has yet to be professionally analyzed and interpreted.
The UFO-related documents were released at the request of US President Donald Trump. In February, Trump ordered a process to identify and declassify all government documents related to unidentified aerial phenomena, or uaps, in an effort to increase transparency.
