China’s Guangdong Health Commission and Guangdong Drug Administration have announced the third batch of designated medical institutions in the guangdong-hong Kong-macao Bay Area, adding 25 designated hospitals. So far, “Hong Kong and Macao Medicine and machinery through” designated medical institutions reached 45, the realization of the Bay area inland 9 cities full coverage.
According to the policy of”Hong Kong-macao drug and machinery connect”, designated medical institutions in the mainland of guangdong-hong Kong-macao Bay area can use drugs that are urgently needed and have been listed in Hong Kong and Macao after being approved by Guangdong province, public Hospitals in Hong Kong and Macao have procured and used medical devices with advanced clinical applications.
The 25 new hospitals include the first affiliated hospital of the National Sun Yat-sen University (Nansha) , the third affiliated hospital of the National Sun Yat-sen University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University, the Guangdong Provincial Maternal and child health hospital, and the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine.
According to the introduction of the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission, the 25 new designated hospitals are all second-class and above hospitals, which are qualified to have the main capital of medical and health services in Hong Kong and Macao, or really implemented the Hong Kong and Macao Medical and Health Service Behavior and medical cooperation and other qualifications. At the same time, the first People’s Hospital in Guangzhou and other four designated hospitals for the qualification changes.
In 2021, the Guangdong province officially implemented the “Hong Kong-macao drug and machinery connect”, and in August 2021 and February 2021, the 2023 announced the names of two batches of designated medical institutions. As of the end of August this year, designated hospitals have introduced the use of Hong Kong and Macao medical devices a total of 80 varieties, services benefiting more than 8000 patients.
