Local time on September 21, the outbreak of protests in Liverpool, the United Kingdom, a large number of protesters holding Palestinian flags, called on the British government to impose an arms embargo on Israel.

David Lamy, the British Foreign Secretary, announced on the 2nd that the British government had assessed that weapons with British components exported to Israel could be used in military operations in the Gaza Strip, as a result, 30 arms export licences for Israel are suspended with immediate effect due to the risk of serious international humanitarian law violations. However, the UK still has more than 300 arms export licences that remain valid.
