The Royal Prosecution Service said that after confirming four new victims, it has decided to press further charges against 39-year-old Andrew Tate and 38-year-old Tristan Tate, who are accused of raping and trafficking women between 2010 and 2017. The UK prosecution announced on 18 that it is seeking to extradite the brothers back to the UK for trial.
The brothers were arrested in Miami, Reuters quoted media sources as saying. As early as last year, the UK had formally filed 21 serious charges against the Tate brothers, including rape and other crimes. The Tate brothers had been investigated by Romanian authorities for various suspected crimes, but they steadfastly denied the related charges.
With this additional charge, the British police said that the total number of charges against the two brothers has reached 59. The British police stressed that in British society, there is absolutely no place for violence against women.
According to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), the Tate brothers were born in the United States. After their parents divorced, they moved with their mother to Luton, Bedfordshire, England. Among them, Andrew has a rather “legendary” experience. He has won the Taekwondo world championship four times. After retiring, he quickly became popular on social media thanks to his fit body. He has more than 10 million followers on X platform alone. Andrew often displays his luxurious life such as private planes, luxury cars, and yachts online to attract the attention of the public. According to the “German‘s Voice”, he has opened so-called “quick enrichment” online courses on social platforms, actually taking the opportunity to accumulate wealth.
