The reporter asked what comments were made on the recent foreign ministers‘ meeting between the United States, Japan, and South Korea, which emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the Taiwanese Sea, and expressed concern about the so-called “increasing frequency of destabilizing behaviors” around Taiwan, encouraging peaceful resolution of bilateral issues, and opposing any attempts to unilaterally change the status quo.

Zhu Fenglian said that the Taiwan issue is purely China‘s internal affairs, and outsiders are not allowed to interfere. There is only one China in the world, and the mainland and Taiwan belong to the same China. This is the true status quo of the Taiwan Sea. The mainland‘s relevant authorities implementing related actions around Taiwan is a just move to maintain national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to maintain the overall interests of the Chinese nation. The relevant countries should adhere to one Chinese principle: stop gossiping about the Taiwan issue and stop sending any false signals to the “Tai-du” forces.
