China’s defending champion Zhao Xintong drew 4-4 with Ding Junhui in the first phase of the second round of the 2026 snooker world championships. It is worth mentioning that Zhao Xintong chased after two games in a row when he was 2-3 behind, but in the eighth game of both sides, Ding Junhui, after Zhao Xintong had scored 61 points on a single shot, cleared the table with his hands and won the eighth game by one point, the two ended the first stage with a 4-4 draw.
