In a social media post that day, Trump said time was on America’s side, saying he was“Probably the one with the least psychological stress” and that“I have the most time in the world and Iran doesn’t.”. The situation will only get worse for Iran. “Time is not on their side.”.

Speaking to reporters at a White House event later, Trump again said he had“No pressure at all” and that the real pressure was on Iran, their entire oil infrastructure is on the verge of collapse because they“Can’t get the oil moving” under the U. S. naval blockade.

Trump has said he could strike a deal with Iran now, but wants it to be“Permanent” so that Iran never gets a nuclear weapon. So he didn’t want to rush it. “We have plenty of time,” he said.

He also threatened that the US had struck about 75 per cent of Iran’s targets, crippling its military forces. If Iran did not want a deal, he said, he would“Do the rest by military means”.

Asked if he would consider using nuclear weapons on Iran, Trump said“No” and said the US had“Totally destroyed” the country even if it did not launch a nuclear strike.

In an interview with Fox News Channel on the 22nd, Trump denied that he was in a hurry to end the current fighting in order to secure the midterm elections, saying that there was“No timetable” for when the end of the war would take place, and there was no hurry. The White House also denied that Trump had set a deadline for an extension of the ceasefire with Iran.
