Iran’s President Pezeziyan said in a phone call with Pakistan’s prime minister Shabaz on the 19th that the United States continues to show perfidy in the negotiation and ceasefire phase, highlighting the true face of the U.S. attempt to abandon diplomacy.

According to Iran’s mehr news agency reported that Pezeshiziyan and Shabaz on the latest situation in the region, Islamabad talks and cease-fire-related matters exchanged views. He expressed appreciation for the firm efforts made by the Palestinian side to achieve peace, and particularly thanked Shabaz and the chief of the Army Staff for their contributions.
Pezerhiziyan said the United States has continued to behave in a perfidious, bullying and unreasonable manner during the negotiation and cease-fire phases. He stressed that the United States continues to implement the so-called maritime blockade and other provocative, illegal actions, not only a flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement, but also contrary to the purposes and principles of the charter of the United Nations. Such actions, along with threatening statements by US officials about Iran, will only deepen doubts about Washington’s sincerity in negotiations and further expose Washington’s attempts to repeat past mistakes and abandon diplomacy.
Pezershiziyan said Iran is committed to maintaining and enhancing relations with all its neighbors, including the countries on the southern shore of the Persian Gulf, based on good-neighborliness and mutual respect. He expressed the hope that these countries would learn from the recent experience, strengthen regional peace and security on the basis of collective cooperation, and stay away from the destructive intervention of countries outside the region, especially the United States.
