The Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution issued a statement on the 18th announcing the launch of the 61st wave of Operation “True Promise-4” in retaliation for the murder of Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran‘s Supreme National Security Council.

The Iranian Fars News Agency quoted a statement by the Army of the Guardians of Islamic Revolution reporting that during this round of strikes, the Army of the Guardians of Islamic Revolution launched “Castle Destroyer” “Imad” missiles, as well as multi-headed “Khorramshahr-4” and “Kader” missiles. The missiles hit more than a hundred military and security targets located in Tel Aviv, Israel, “without any interference.”
The Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution said that power was cut in parts of Tel Aviv following the raid. It is estimated that more than 230 Israelis were killed or injured in the raid.
The Supreme National Security Council of Iran issued a statement early on the morning of the 18th confirming that Ali Larijani was killed in an air raid. His son, Mortaza Larijani, and Ali Larijani Bayat, deputy secretary for security affairs at the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council, were killed along with several of their entourage.
