According to an interview released by Sky News on the 27th, when asked about allegations that “Ukraine is trying to acquire nuclear weapons through Britain and France,” Zelensky replied, “I am willing (to accept). But I have no proposals, I am just willing.”
The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service’s press department released a statement on the 24th to report that Britain and France were prepared to provide Kiev with a nuclear bomb and believed that if Kiev possessed an atomic bomb or at least the so-called “dirty bomb,” it could obtain more favorable conditions for ending the fighting operation. The French side subsequently identified the Russian claim as “unfounded.” Regarding news that Britain and France planned to help Ukraine acquire nuclear weapons, Russian Foreign Intelligence Service spokesperson Zakharova said on the 24th that this practice was “unacceptable” and would cause the situation to escalate.
