A Taipei electrical repair plant suddenly caught fire in the early hours of the morning. The fire spread rapidly and emitted a large amount of thick smoke.

 

According to Taiwan‘s TVBS News Network on December 24th, a fire broke out at around 4 a.m. at an antique appliance repair plant in Taipei City. The fire spread rapidly and emitted a large amount of thick smoke due to the suspected accumulation of large amounts of electrical appliances at the scene. The fire was contained after firefighters rushed to the rescue, causing no casualties.

The report said that the shop owner, who lived alone in the factory, said that when he woke up and saw the fire, it was too late to put it out. He suspected that the fire was caused by the electrical wires catching fire. The Taipei City Fire Department officials said that the building that caught fire was a reinforced concrete structure with a tin roof on the outside. The fire spread to two houses with the same license plate number. A total of eight water lines were deployed at the scene to put out the fire.

A total of 83 police and firefighters were involved in the rescue, with 28 fire trucks and 4 ambulances deployed. According to preliminary assessments, the burning area was about 150 square meters, and no one was injured or trapped at the scene. The actual cause of the fire remains to be investigated.
