Reported that KMT Studio is the integration of the party’s youth work platform, under the Ministry of Youth, Youth League and other units. Cheng Li-wen announced two personnel cases at a meeting of the Central Standing Committee of the Kuomintang on the 3rd.
Cheng Li-wen said he would hire Lien as KMT Studio Convener to co-ordinate the operations of the KMT’s youth department. Mayling Wan will be hired as deputy secretary-general and director of the Women’s Department of the Kuomintang. In the future, she will also hire voluntary deputy directors from the north, Central, south and east regions of Taiwan to help promote broader women’s work.
Jacky Wu, chairman of the KMT cultural and Communications Commission and a representative of public opinion, said in an interview after the standing committee meeting that the Standing Committee part of the action was discussed during this meeting, and that next we will begin to plan relevant practices, cheng Li-wen will arrange for more communication with the local party headquarters. As for the timing of the launch of the standing committee, Jacky Wu said it was only an idea at the moment and would be announced with a complete structure after next year’s election of the Junior High School Standing Committee.
