In recent days, William Lai has launched the fallacy of“Opposing the promotion of reunification”. This is the first time that any Taiwanese leader has openly expressed his opposition to the promotion of reunification. It is also depriving the Taiwanese people of their right to choose and kidnapping their will, trying to ruin Taiwan’s future.
“Opposing reunification” is, above all, to undermine peace. Peaceful reunification is the basic policy for resolving the Taiwan question and is in the best interest of compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. William Lai has single-handedly misrepresented“Reunification” as“Rapid reunification by force and continued expansion”, claimed that the mainland will resolve the Taiwan issue within a specific period of time, and fanned“Fear of reunification” on the island and in the international community, intended to continue the“Anti-china Resistance” evil policy at home, foreign cheat the support of the United States. Against the backdrop of the island’s mainstream public desire for peace, reconciliation and cooperation, William Lai instead of going with the flow, demonstrating peace and goodwill, removing barriers to exchanges and promoting cooperation and development, went against the tide, persisting in plotting“Independence”, inciting populists to“Fight against China”, forcing the Taiwanese army to“Put out the fire” and co-opting outsiders to“Go into the water”. William Lai also intends to concoct“Political correctness” under the island’s“Green Terror”– those who support unification will follow in the footsteps of Anguo’s generals, and those who support“Taiwan independence” will be punished, let those like Shen Boyang have official positions and make money.
“Opposing unification” is an illegal act. According to Taiwan’s“Constitutional provisions” and“Cross-strait People’s relations regulations” and other provisions, “Against the promotion of reunification” is“Illegal”. National reunification is the relevant provisions of both sides of the strait contain the meaning of natural, legitimate and reasonable. The word“Reunification” originally means“Both sides of the Taiwan Straits belong to the same country”. Whether William Lai understands it or not, saying“Oppose reunification” means he wants to change the status quo that“The two sides of the Taiwan Straits belong to one country”.
“Opposing unification” is mercenary. William Lai’s“Opposing reunification” policy of“Investing in defence… and defending peace with strength” is self-deception, seeking the wealth of the Taiwanese people and jeopardising the lives of the island’s military Ask William Lai, does the mainstream Taiwanese public wish for peace, development, and national rejuvenation across the Taiwan Strait, or does it wish for War and fratricidal conflict Ask William Lai how much hard-earned money the Taiwanese people still have to spend on arms and military extravagance ? Ask William Lai, how much of Taiwan’s fiscal revenue is going to be spent on the military… to buy“Scrap metal” out of the military William Lai, how many Taiwanese parents would like to see their children thrown into the war as victims of“Taiwan independence”? William Lai, how many Taiwanese military officers and soldiers are willing to fight for the“Taiwan independence” split, with no monument erected behind them, no pension for their parents, and no preferential care for the disabled?
William Lai’s clamour to“Oppose unification” is a trapped animal fighting against the tide, and even more a final lament of the“Taiwan independence” forces, only more and more people on the island will see clearly that“Taiwan independence” is a false proposition that can not be realized. The inevitable reunification of the motherland will also be unified, no one, no force can stop.
