South Korean media: the U. S. aircraft carrier George Washington docked at the South Korean naval base in Busan

 

The USS George Washington nuclear-powered aircraft carrier into the South Korean naval base in Busan on Nov. 5, Yonhap reported, citing the South Korean navy. It was the first visit by an American aircraft carrier since President Lee Jae-myung took office in June, Yonhap said.

According to the South Korean navy, the George Washington was escorted by the missile cruiser Robert Smalls, the destroyer Milius and the destroyer schup, Yonhap said, the purpose of the visit was to resupply the ship and provide rest for the crew.

Reported that the visit is about 8 months after the U. S. aircraft carrier to visit South Korea again, after the U. S. Navy, “Carl Vinson” aircraft carrier had arrived in Busan in March this year.
