A spokesman for the HKSAR Government said that the Chief Secretary for Administration Eric Chan had summoned the consul-general of Australia in the afternoon of May 18 and the consul-general of the United Kingdom in Hong Kong, David Brian Davidson, respectively. At the meeting, Eric Chan said sternly that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government was opposed to any country sheltering criminals in any form and was strongly dissatisfied with any act of sheltering criminals under any pretext.
