On 6 August, the Centre for Health Protection reported three additional imported chikungunya cases.
Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) is an acute infectious disease caused by Chikungunya Chikungunya and transmitted by bite in Aedes. It is widely prevalent in tropical and subtropical areas around the world.
The onset of Chikungunya was acute and the fever was mainly moderate to low-grade fever. It was characterized by arthralgia. Most of the patients’ arthralgia and stiffness recovered within a few days after onset. (reporter, Zhu Dan)
