Taiwan Media: Taiwan’s military truck hit a motorcycle on its way to the shooting range, killing an octogenarian couple and injuring one

 

A car accident occurred in a Lin District of Kaohsiung Monday, Taiwan’s TVBS news website reported Monday. An 83-year-old woman on the back seat of a Taiwan Air Force flight training command military truck died after she broke her hand when it collided with a motorcycle while turning right. Li Zhenyuan, head of a Lian branch of Kaohsiung City’s Lake Inner Police Station, said an initial investigation found that Lin was driving an air force military truck when it turned right, causing the accident.

According to TVBS, the surveillance footage shows a number of cars passing one by one on a major local road. One of the Taiwan Air Force military trucks with a right turn signal, at a green light intersection ready to turn right. At this time, a motorcycle tried to pass by the truck, but the truck driver did not seem to notice. It was not until the truck turned into the alley that the driver realized there had been a collision.

According to the report, the truck was part of the Taiwan air force’s “Flight Training Command”. In the early hours of the same day, the truck set off from the Taiwan Air Force’s Okayama Base and went to a shooting range in the alien district of Kaohsiung City.
