Yoon Seok-yueh released, South Korea’s presidential palace said: looking forward to the president’s reinstatement as soon as possible

South Korea’s presidential office said Tuesday it welcomed the decision by Seoul Central District Court to approve a detention cancellation petition filed by Yoon si-yueh, Yonhap news agency reported.

“Together with the people, we look forward to the President’s return to office as soon as possible,” the office added.

Seoul Central District Court Wednesday approved an application by Yoon Suk-yueh to cancel his detention. According to South Korean media, after the court makes a decision on release, it will send the decision to the prosecutor, who will then issue a release order to the Seoul Detention Center, and Yoon Sik-yueh will be released immediately. Upon his release, he is expected to travel to the Hannam-dong presidential palace.
