As a bellwether for global innovation and the Consumer Electronics Industry, CES is also Consumer Electronics Show as the “Spring Festival Gala for Science and technology” in China. More than 150,000 industry participants and more than 4,000 exhibitors will gather IN Las Vegas for the grand opening of CES 2025, a global Consumer Electronics Show themed “DIVE IN” from Jan. 7 to 10, show the cutting edge of innovation.
Ai is everywhere
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is undoubtedly the core theme of CES 2025, and it is being integrated into almost every consumer electronics product, from voice assistants to deep learning models. Jen-hsun Huang, Nvidia’s chief executive, will deliver a keynote address on January 7, US media reported. Nvidia, based in Santa Clara, California, has spent the past two years focusing on AI processors in data centres, an AI chip for personal computers is likely to be launched at CES.
These products may include desktop graphics processing units based on Nvidia Blackwell’s architecture. These new GPU processors are the rumored GeForce RTX 50 series, aimed at gamers and creators. Nvidia may also announce an Arm-based CPU, to compete with Qualcomm, Advanced Micro Devices and Intel.

The international media, with the exception of Jen-hsun Huang, other keynote speakers at CES 2025 included Delta CEO Ed Bastian, Accenture CEO Julie Sweet, x CEO Linda Jacarino, and Alphabet Self-driving Technology Unit Waymo co-ceo Tecdella Marvacana.
At the same time, AI is moving into consumer devices, from cars and smartphones to home appliances and digital health products. Costello, editor and publisher of CE Online News, said attendees would expect to see “Ubiquitous artificial intelligence” at the fair. There are even niche AI-powered products, such as smart flowerpots, smart spice dispensers and automatic litter boxes.
At CES 2025, attendees will see a number of hot product areas. After the success of Meta Ray-bans (Ray-ban Smart Glasses) , a partnership between Meta and the Italian eyewear maker, smart glasses are another exciting category, several companies will promote their products at the exhibition.
Most companies focus on adding audio technology to the glasses, allowing users to make and receive calls and listen to music. AI technology in glasses includes real-time language translation, turn-by-turn navigation and voice-based personal digital assistants. In addition, smart glasses with built-in cameras can take photos and videos and identify places, objects and people. Other companies at the show focused on adding AI smart assistants to wireless headphones.
The U.S. consumer technology industry will generate $537 billion in sales in 2025, according to a pre-CES press conference Friday from the CTA, the host organization, but the tariffs could reduce consumers’ tech spending by nearly $143bn.
Notably, the chief executive of South Korea’s financial sector broke with years of convention at CES, amid continuing uncertainty about the domestic political economy. Some companies in South Korea have chosen not to send representatives at all this year, the Korea Times said.
Focus on autopilot and intelligent driving
Car Technology continues to dominate CES, with the show focusing on innovations such as autonomous driving, electric cars and smart mobility, even though the number of major carmakers participating in the show has fallen this year. Sony’s self-driving electric car, the FEELA, which is being developed in partnership with Honda, will show how to combine entertainment and transportation technology.
BMW is another major manufacturer with big plans at CES this year. The German carmaker plans to unveil the“Neue Klasse” platform it has been touting for years, including its new panoramic iDrive display and new operating system.
While auto and technology companies will showcase many technological breakthroughs at the show, uncertainty in the global trading environment could still pose a challenge to those innovations, Reuters said. Honda, for example, sells 80 percent of its Mexican production to the U.S. market, Reuters said. It warned it would have to consider shifting production if the US imposed permanent tariffs on cars imported from the country.
China becomes the biggest foreign exhibitor this year
More than 1,300 Chinese companies will present their latest products at the Las Vegas show, according to a list posted on the show’s website, Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post said, chinese companies account for more than a quarter of the 4,500 registered exhibitors, making China the largest foreign exhibitor this year. Hong Kong also sent its largest ever delegation of technology companies to the CES. Earlier, the South China Morning Post reported that nearly 1,000 employees of Chinese exhibitors had been denied visas.
According to digital trends, Lenovo will unveil the ThinkBook Plus Gen6 Rollable with scroll screen technology, which is said to look like an ordinary laptop, but when the button on the side is pressed, more screens can then be stretched up, growing larger, until basically two laptop screens are nested together. Lenovo’s breakthrough design should be welcomed by many people as they struggle to adapt to the compact shape of laptops in a world of ultra-wide and large displays, the report said.
According to reports, Tcl and Hisense, etc. have arranged high-quality exhibitions, Alibaba Cloud and BYD Company lithium battery companies also returned to this year’s exhibition. Bytedance, which took part last year, is absent this year, but TikTok will still have several booths on site. Chinese car technology company Xiaopeng Huitian also announced earlier, will show at CES modular flying car-“Land aircraft carrier” products. As well as showcasing cutting-edge technology, Chinese manufacturers will also look for global partners to deal with geopolitical changes.
CES has grown far beyond its original purpose as a showcase for gadgets and electronics. “Today, it covers cars, health technology, augmented reality and wearables,” says Forbes. “From John Deere tractors to AI-powered health diagnostics and self-driving car prototypes, CES is more like a place where the future comes into reality,” said Fabrizio, President of the Consumer Technology Association
