On suspicion of falsely accusing Biden and son of taking bribes, an FBI informant pleads guilty to federal charges

On December 12, local time, CCTV reporters learned that court documents submitted that day showed that, an FBI informant accused of fabricating a zero Hunter Biden bribe for President Joseph Biden and his Alexander Smirnov has agreed to plead guilty.

It is understood that the Alexander Smirnov has entered into a plea agreement with the Special Adviser to the Ministry of Justice (David West) . Under the agreement, both sides will recommend a minimum of 48 months and a maximum of 72 months in prison.

The Alexander Smirnov first reported to the FBI in June 2020, claims that executives at the Ukrainian energy giant brisma holdings paid $5m each to Biden and Hunter, who was then Brisma’s director, in 2015 or 2016, so that Hunter could “Solve all those problems through his father”. On February 15th David Dennis Wise, the Justice Department’s Special Prosecutor leading the investigation into Hunter’s overseas business dealings, announced that he had Alexander Smirnov criminal charges, it said it was charged with making“False statements” and“Falsifying records”. According to a number of foreign media reports, the Alexander Smirnov was arrested on February 14 when he arrived at an airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, from overseas. He briefly appeared in court on the 15th and did not specifically plead guilty to the charges against him, he was arrested again on 22 February.
