The Australian Naval Research Institute said on its website on December 1 that the Carrier Strike Group, Georges Clemenceau 25, was based on the French aircraft carrier DeGaule and consisted of several French and multinational convoys, it had set sail from the port of Toulon in the south of France for a five-month mission to the indo-pacific region.

The French carrier strike group Georges Clemenceau 25 included the French frigate Forman and the supply ship Jacques Chevallier, according to the French maritime and maritime website, and a nuclear attack submarine. In the early hours of November 28, the Italian frigate Virginio Fasan joined the Georges Clemenceau 25 strike group. In addition, a Moroccan frigate, a Greek frigate and a U. S. destroyer will also join the strike group.
This aircraft carrier strike group will be deployed to the indo-pacific region before the end of this year. It will conduct joint exercises with the navies of the United States, Britain and Australia in the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean, especially participating in exercises led by the United States military, intended to enhance interoperability with the U. S. Navy’s Seventh Fleet. French Radio Internationale (RFI) said Nov. 30 that the Georges Clemenceau 25 strike group may be docked in the Philippines and Japan.
