JAXA is investigating the cause of another explosion in a ground-ignition test of a small solid-fuel rocket developed in Japan

 

According to NHK (NHK) on November 26, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA ) said that, an anomaly occurred during a ground-based ignition test of a small solid-fuel rocket, the epsilon s, at the Kagoshima Prefecture Tanegashima Space Center. JAXA is currently investigating why.

According to Japanese media reports and live video, about 30 seconds after the start of the test, the scene of a violent explosion, can be seen similar to the fireball flying towards the direction of the offshore.

The Epsilon S, developed by JAXA, is intended to carry small satellites, Kyodo reported. The Rocket 2023 exploded during a ground test in July, and JAXA responded to the rocket’s problems by conducting the test on the basis of the explosion.
