US: Donald Trump nominates former Wisconsin Congressman Duffy to be transportation secretary

US president-elect Donald Trump nominated a former Wisconsin Congressman Wednesday to Sean Duffy as Transportation Secretary, AP and Fox News Channel reported.

Duffy left Congress in 2019 and is now co-host of the fox business channel’s “Baseline” show, according to the Associated Press. Before entering politics, Duffy appeared on the MTV reality show the real world.

After winning the 2024 election, Donald Trump has recently nominated a number of key officials for his presidency. According to reports, Fox News Channel television host Pitter Haggeses received the United States armed forces “Number Two” secretary of Defense nomination; Congressman Mike Wuertz, a former special forces member, will become a “Close aide” to the Donald Trump and be nominated for the post of National Security Adviser to the President. In addition, on November 13, local time, Donald Trump nominated Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio as his candidate for Secretary of State after becoming president.
