Kim Jong-un signed the decree ratifying the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty between North Korea and Russia

On the 12th local time, it was learned that North Korean State Councilor Kim Jong-un signed a decree on the 11th, ratified the Treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the 2024 North Korea, signed in Pyongyang on 19 June.
The treaty provides that the two sides shall, on the basis of their national legislation and international obligations, maintain and develop a comprehensive strategic partnership on a long-term basis on the basis of the principles of mutual respect for national sovereignty and the inviolability of their territory, non-interference in their internal affairs and equality. The two sides agreed to establish a mechanism for joint activities to strengthen defence capabilities in order to prevent war and ensure regional and international peace and security.
The treaty shall enter into force on the date of the exchange of instruments of ratification between the two parties.
