UN official describes Gaza as“Not a place for human beings to live”

On November 5, Muhannad Hadi, deputy special coordinator of the Office of the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East peace process, was on a two-day visit to the Gaza Strip, “This is not a place for human beings to live,” said Gutterres, briefing the UN secretary-general on the status quo.

Hadi, who visited an UNRWA school in Gaza, stated that the conditions in the school were intolerable and that families there lacked food, water and available toilets and were squeezed into very crowded spaces, sewage and garbage everywhere, “This is not a place for human survival, it is simply unimaginable.”.
