Former President Donald Trump and vice president Harriss are in the final stages of an election campaign. French economist Christophe Barrow believes Donald Trump will win.
“The most likely outcome so far is a Donald Trump victory and a Republican landslide, based on various indicators such as the gaming market, opinion polls, election modelers’ predictions, and financial markets,” Barrow wrote on social media site X on October 28
Barrow, the 38-year-old chief economist at Market Securities, has been named Bloomberg’s best forecaster 11 times in the past 12 years, hence the nickname”The world’s most accurate economist”.

Earlier, in an interview with Business Insider, he Business Insider several possible scenarios for the election result.
He said Donald Trump’s election and the Republican landslide victory in Congress would allow the new president to implement tax cuts for businesses and families and focus more on domestic than foreign policy. It would also have a positive short-term impact on US economic growth, he added, with GDP growth of 2.1-2.3 per cent by 2025.

Barrow also said that if Donald Trump wins the election but Congress is controlled by both parties, it would limit his ability to cut taxes and force him to focus on foreign policy, possibly imposing trade restrictions and tariffs. In the long run, he added, the result would hurt global growth and slow growth in the United States.
