French President Maqueron Synval posted a message on social media on Friday after Israel announced it had killed Hamas leader Yahya Muhammad Hamid Ed-din Synval, AFP and other media reported, demand that Hamas release all detainees.

In his post, Maqueron said SYNVAL was “Primarily responsible” for Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7, and the French demanded the release of all those still held by Hamas.
According to CNN (CNN) and other media reports, President Biden told reporters on the 17th that he had called the Israeli prime minister to Benjamin Netanyahu “Congratulations” on the killing of Synval. “I told him that we were satisfied with his actions and that it was time to move forward, towards a ceasefire in Gaza,” Biden added.

The statement said Synval had spent the past year hiding in Gaza’s surface facilities and underground tunnels. In recent weeks Israeli and Israeli security forces have conducted intelligence-based operations in the southern Gaza Strip against suspected senior Hamas hideouts. The Israeli army killed several armed men in the area. After identifying the bodies, we were able to identify one of them as Synval. There was no public response from Hamas to the Israeli claims.
