“She passed away peacefully in hospital in the early hours of Friday morning, September 27,” Maggie Smith sons Toby Stephens and Chris Larkin said in a statement. She was a very private person, with friends and family around her on her deathbed. She is survived by two sons and five lovely grandchildren who are grieving the loss of their extraordinary mother and grandmother.
