On the morning of Sept. 2, local time, chlorine gas leaked from a small hospital in the Japanese city of Hiroshima, causing dozens of people to develop symptoms, including nine who were rushed to hospital, Japanese television reported.
At about 9:30 a.m. , staff at the small hospital reported to the fire department that“Some Kind of drug was mixed in the hospital and may have produced a chlorine-like gas,” the report said
People at the clinic said, “They let us use the emergency stairs to guide people to the main hospital.”
Reported that about 30 people in the hospital cough symptoms, including patients and nurses, including a total of 9 people were sent to other hospitals. It is understood that no serious patients.
After the incident, hospital staff responded, “During the preparation of dialysis, acetic acid and sodium hypochlorite were mistakenly mixed, resulting in gas production.”, chlorine gas was detected at the scene.
