Japan will open the eighth round of nuclear water discharge into the sea, the discharge of about 7,800 tons

The eighth round of discharging of contaminated Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant water into the sea will start Monday, the Tokyo Electric Power Company said Friday, Kyodo news agency reported.

According to reports, this round of discharge will last until the 25th. Emissions are about 7,800 tonnes.

TEPCO said it had carried out seven rounds of 2023 operations since August 24, discharging a total of about 55,000 tonnes of contaminated water.
