A 15-year-old male defendant was sentenced to a rehabilitation centre while a 23-year-old male defendant was sentenced to a re-education through labour centre in the case of vandalism of Wong Ka Kui’s tombstone today (16 May) .

The gravestones of the late Beyond frontman Wong Ka Kui were vandalized in May, and the 15-year-old and 23-year-old defendants were charged with one count of criminal vandalism. On 19 May 2005, the two 2024 tampered with Wong Ka Kui’s tombstone at the Tseung Kwan O Chinese Permanent Cemetery of Ko Chiu Road, Yau Tong, Kowloon, intended to damage the property or regardless of whether the property will be damaged.
