The 18th Hong Kong International Wine Exhibition, hosted by the Hong Kong Trade and Development Bureau, will be held in Hong Kong from 5 May. More than 620 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions will showcase the world‘s best wines.

The three-day wine exhibition was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, featuring products from more than 40 regions around the world, including spirits, wine, sake, beer, low-alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks. This year, the World of Spirits Global Spirits Zone gathered spirits exhibitors from 17 countries and regions, covering the world‘s eight major spirits.

The Chinese white wine lineup at the exhibition is robust, featuring the top ten white wine brands. To give visitors a comprehensive understanding of the historical culture and traditional brewing techniques of Chinese white wine, a white wine culture exhibition area is set up at the venue, demonstrating the white wine brewing process through an exhibition design that integrates culture, technology, and interactive experiences.

On the wine side, this year‘s wine exhibition attracted wine merchants from many countries and regions. The Georgian wine merchant Sandro, who participated in the exhibition for the first time, hoped to introduce more buyers to their products through the exhibition platform in Hong Kong, looking forward to entering the Mainland market.

The Hong Kong Trade Development Bureau said that Hong Kong continues to play the role of a “super contact” and a “super value-added person”, attracting global wine merchants to use Hong Kong as an important foothold for expanding the Asian market, and actively assisting the Chinese wine industry in developing the international market.

A Hong Kong exhibitor brought out the first-ever sauce-flavored whisky, which combines the characteristics of Chinese white wine and Western whisky to showcase a new style of cross-border brewing. Liu, the person in charge, said that this product aims to make the world understand Chinese white wine culture and further expand international business opportunities.
