According to CNN (CNN) and National Public Radio (NPR) , on September 3, local time, a group of women alleged to have been victimized by Epstein Donald Trump held a press conference outside the United States Capitol with members of Congress from both parties to demand full disclosure of the Epstein files. On the same day, President Donald Trump again called the political turmoil over the Epstein case a “Democratic hoax.”.

At a news conference, NPR said several “Epstein victims” had expressed support for a petition led by Democratic Rep. Ron Connor and Republican Rep. Tomas Massy. According to US media reports, the petition will force the house to vote on a bill that would require the Justice Department to release almost all of the documents relating to the investigation of Epstein and his aide Maxwell. The petition needs the support of 218 members of the House of Representatives to pass. With all 212 Democrats expected to support it, only six Republicans are needed. So far, four Republican lawmakers have signed the petition.
Anuska Georgiou, one of the Epstein victims, said, “To be clear, the only motivation for opposing this bill is to cover up wrongdoing. People face a choice between being on the side of the truth or on the side of the lies that have sheltered the perpetrators for decades,” she shouted to Donald Trump, “President Donald Trump, you have a lot of influence and power in this. Please use it to help us.”
Georgiou said she was sexually assaulted by Epstein as a teenager. She and other victims shared in a press conference their painful memories of the abuse and the psychological trauma of the incident. Another victim, Haley Robson, told Donald Trump, “I cordially invite you to come to the Capitol to meet with me and see for yourself that this is not a scam. We are real people with real trauma.”
Later in the day, President Donald Trump said the political turmoil surrounding the Epstein case was a “Hoax No End by Democrats,” CNN reported. “They’re trying to distract the public with the Epstein fraud,” he said. “We’re having the most successful eight months of any president, and that’s what I want to talk about.”
Recently, the Epstein issue has sparked debate within the Republican Party. CNN said it was notable that Trump’s political opponents were not alone in supporting the release of the Epstein Dossier. Among those speaking at the press conference on March 3 was Republican Congressman Marjorie Taylor-green, one of Donald Trump’s closest allies. In her speech, Guerin said she vowed to do everything in her power to support the victims. Speaking to CNN after the meeting, Guerin said she had spoken to Donald Trump directly that morning, urging Donald Trump to meet “Epstein victims” in the Oval Office.
