Kobayashi also identified problems with products from four companies that used its Monascus ingredients

Kobayashi, a Japanese pharmaceutical company, said it had reinvestigated and identified nine companies that had bought and used the company’s Red Koji ingredients, including some of its products, the content of Red Koji is higher than the content of this raw material in the company’s related health care products.

On July 26th Kobayashi, a pharmaceutical company, announced that it had Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare an investigation into the purchase and use of its Monascus ingredients. The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare had asked Kobayashi to investigate 225 companies that bought and used Monascus ingredients made by the company, is there a product with a higher content of Red Koji than the company’s problem health product.
