{"id":650,"date":"2024-06-24T01:52:44","date_gmt":"2024-06-24T01:52:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/forefrontnews.cn\/?p=650"},"modified":"2024-06-24T01:55:26","modified_gmt":"2024-06-24T01:55:26","slug":"millions-of-americans-are-fleeing-to-red-states-for-lower-house-prices","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/forefrontnews.cn\/?p=650","title":{"rendered":"Millions of Americans are fleeing to red states for lower house prices"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A growing number of Americans are ditching Democratic-run cities for Republican suburbs in search of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/foxbusiness.com\/category\/taxes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lower taxes<\/a>\u00a0and more affordable real estate prices.<\/p>\n<p>In Republican counties, defined by the 2020 presidential vote, about 3.7 million more people have moved in than left over the past four years, according\u00a0to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/stateline.org\/2024\/04\/03\/swing-states-see-newcomers-as-americans-move-from-blue-to-red-counties\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Stateline<\/a>\u00a0analysis of U.S. Census Bureau estimates and county presidential election data by the University of Michigan.<\/p>\n<p>By comparison, Democratic counties saw a net loss of 3.7 million residents during that same time period.<\/p>\n<p>Republican suburban counties in four swing states \u2014 Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin \u2014 gained the most new arrivals, while heavily Democratic cities lost the most.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/foxbusiness.com\/economy\/us-home-prices-far-outpace-americans-paychecks-see-how-bad-problem-where-you-live\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>US HOME PRICES FAR OUTPACE AMERICANS&#8217; PAYCHECKS. This has prompted more Americans to move to more affordable states, according to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.realtor.com\/news\/trends\/blue-state-residents-are-fleeing-to-red-states-for-lower-house-prices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">separate analysis by Realtor.com.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In California, for instance, residents who were shopping for an out-of-state home were most commonly looking at listings in Florida, with 10.5% of online views. California and New York, meanwhile, have some of the highest tax burdens in the country.<\/p>\n<p>This shift is reflective of a broader trend.<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, New York, California, Hawaii, Alaska and Illinois lost the most residents as a share of their population, while South Carolina, Delaware, North Carolina, Tennessee and Florida saw the greatest population increase, according to a Tax Foundation analysis of Census data.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This population shift paints a clear picture: Americans are leaving high-tax, high-cost-of-living states in favor of lower-tax, lower-cost alternatives,&#8221; the Tax Foundation said in a blog post.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/foxbusiness.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE ON FOX BUSINESS<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>However, many locals are starting to &#8220;bemoan the demise of their small-town way of life&#8221; and the skyrocketing home prices that come along with new residents, according to Realtor.com.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Red-state residents don\u2019t care for people coming from blue states,&#8221; Cara Ameer, who sells real estate in California and Florida, told Realtor.com. &#8220;I have seen resentment in Florida with slogans like \u2018Don\u2019t Fauci My Florida.'&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A growing number of Americans are ditching Democratic-run cities for Republican suburbs in search of\u00a0lower taxes\u00a0and more affordable real estate prices.
