in mobility even when the stimulation wasn\u2019t actively being applied.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This research highlights the unexpected role of the lateral hypothalamus, a brain region not previously associated with locomotion in humans,&#8221; Courtine said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This process may take several years before the therapy becomes available to patients.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Murray also emphasized that caution must be taken with this type of stimulation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Anytime we are investigating brain therapies, a tremendous degree of safety and precision has to be applied,&#8221;
