From an economic point of view, this would increase potential trade barriers with potential risks of supply chain disruption, higher production costs and lower employment.<\/p>\n<p>In September, the United States Department of Commerce proposed banning chinese-developed software and hardware from internet-connected and self-driving cars on American roads.
