Trump\u2019s proposal would make workers\u2019 tips non-taxable.<\/p>\n

“I will eliminate\u00a0taxes\u00a0on\u00a0tips<\/a>\u00a0for restaurant workers and hospitality workers, and anyone else relying\u00a0on\u00a0tips, no more\u00a0taxes\u00a0on\u00a0tips,”\u00a0Trump\u00a0said.<\/p>\n

President Trump\u2019s pledge to eliminate federal\u00a0taxes\u00a0on\u00a0tipped income is\u00a0inspiring\u00a0a frenzy of restaurant customers to post their checks\u00a0online, complete with handwritten notes endorsing\u00a0Trump\u2019s policy.<\/p>\n

TRUMP\u2019S PROMISE TO \u2018ELIMINATE TAXES ON TIPS\u2019 MARKS \u2018FIRST TIME\u2019 GOP HAS FOCUSED ON MINORITY NEIGHBORHOODS<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Photos have been circulating all over social media showing servers receiving \u2013 in addition to a check with their gratuity \u2013 a handwritten message\u00a0calling for their support of\u00a0Trump<\/a>\u00a0due to his promise of\u00a0tax-free tips.<\/p>\n

It is a great incentive for millions of Americans to return to the workforce post-COVID. It organically connects work and reward in real time.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0idea\u00a0has caught fire with serious Republican lawmakers. Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont., chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Rick Scott, R-Fla., and Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., have introduced the “No\u00a0Tax\u00a0on\u00a0Tips Act.”<\/p>\n

TRUMP VS. BIDEN: WHERE THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES STAND ON TAXES<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Many have observed the political gain\u00a0Trump\u00a0can expect from the millions of waiters and waitresses,\u00a0taxi and rideshare drivers, beauticians and barbers, bartenders, caddies, delivery drivers and others.<\/p>\n

But there is a larger audience: the tens of millions of Americans who remember their\u00a0early\u00a0years working for tips. They see the respect and appreciation for their work shown by this\u00a0tax\u00a0cut.<\/p>\n

Also not unnoticed is the\u00a0chilled response by Democrat politicians<\/a>. They didn\u2019t think of it and must oppose all things\u00a0Trump.<\/p>\n

Union bosses hate the\u00a0Trump\u00a0idea\u00a0and actually oppose tips as they find it hard to unionize workers who have become accustomed to being rewarded for work rather than simply paid by the hour. Bartenders are not assembly line workers.<\/p>\n

THE ONE PIECE OF TRUMP\u2019S LEGACY THAT HAUNTS BIDEN<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Trump\u00a0no-tip\u00a0tax\u00a0idea<\/a>\u00a0builds\u00a0on\u00a0his call to make permanent the historic 2017\u00a0Trump\u00a0tax\u00a0cuts, which expires at the end of 2025. Also known as the\u00a0Tax\u00a0Cuts and Jobs Act, the\u00a0Trump\u00a0tax\u00a0cuts reduced the income\u00a0tax\u00a0burden across the board.<\/p>\n

Trump\u00a0said: “I will make the\u00a0Trump\u00a0tax\u00a0cuts permanent. You know they expire in a year. And we will cut your\u00a0taxes\u00a0even more than that.”<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s\u00a0tax\u00a0cuts also greatly simplified the\u00a0tax\u00a0system by doubling the standard deduction, meaning tens of millions of households no longer have to track down receipts for everything just to file their\u00a0taxes.<\/p>\n

Trump\u00a0further emphasized\u00a0the\u00a0contrast with high-tax\u00a0President Biden<\/a>: “Instead of a Biden\u00a0tax\u00a0hike, I\u2019ll give you a\u00a0Trump\u00a0middle class, upper class, lower class, business class, big\u00a0tax\u00a0cut.”<\/p>\n

Biden vows to saddle America with a long list of\u00a0tax\u00a0increases totaling $5 trillion. Biden has also vowed to “eliminate” the\u00a0Trump\u00a0tax\u00a0cuts and\u00a0said\u00a0they “are going to stay expired and dead forever if I\u2019m re-elected.”<\/p>\n

Biden and the Democrats try to pretend their\u00a0tax\u00a0increases will be paid by “someone else.” They try to tell you they\u2019re\u00a0only\u00a0taxing wealthy corporations. But in reality the corporate income\u00a0tax\u00a0is a direct hit\u00a0on\u00a0the middle class: The\u00a0tax\u00a0is paid by consumers in higher prices and workers in lower wages.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0corporate\u00a0tax\u00a0also hits retirees<\/a>\u00a0as it damages the value of their nest egg: their pension, 401(k) or IRA.<\/p>\n
