Five people were killed and a teenager detained Tuesday in a residential shooting in Seattle, Washington State, NPR reported.
King County’s Deputy Sheriff Mike Mellis reportedly said police had received multiple 911 calls that morning about a shooting at a house in Fall City, Seattle.
Mellis said they arrived at the house and found five people dead, including two adults and three teenagers. They also found another teenager with“At least two injuries” who had been taken to a nearby hospital.
The King County Sheriff’s office said the suspect and the deceased appeared to be members of the same family and were investigating their relationship.
“Clearly this is a tragic case of domestic violence involving not only teenagers but also guns,” Mellis said, adding that it was unclear how many guns had been used.
Mellis said a 15-year-old boy had been detained in connection with the incident. The boy will appear in court for the first time on the afternoon of April 23, local time. The case has not yet been submitted to the King County Prosecutor’s Office for a formal prosecution decision.
